I have a madbull propane adapter. But now I see they revised their design.

They have added a silicon oil chamber.

So now your propane can have silicon.

I use propane for my MK23 Socom and Mac11.

That's definitely true. I used to play competitively, and it was pretty funny watching guys with military backgrounds acting all arrogant and then getting destroyed by experienced 14 year old players.

As far as airsoft training goes, I think it can be a good tool.. There's nothing like actually being shot at to give you a bit of a feel for what it's like to be in a gunfight -- you can't replicate that at a range. I thought about getting one or two to teach my wife some basic tactics and go over some scenarios on how best to respond in case someone breaks in, especially if I'm not at home.

And one thing that stands out... penetration and use of actual cover.

It reminds me of a buddy, renegadephoenix will remember this, who played paintball so much that he didnt take a shot at a deer because the body was behind some brush, and forgot that he could shoot through!

One of these days I'm going to get out for the invites for FOF training, I have acquaintances who go and get shot at and "arrested" as insurgent actors in paintball based training. There is a session beforehand where they instruct you how to act, and behave as if you are Afghan or Iranian fighters in Iraq.
