Re: Single shot 12ga tactical
I cut my H&R Pardner barrel down to 18 inches and took about 3 inches off the wood stock. I forget the current overall length but it is well within legal size. It serves a defense roll perfecrly as it can be stored just about anywhere. And yes, it kicks like a mule. A big one.
Heres a pic before I took about 3 inches off the stock.

NEF Pardner with Winchester PDX1! Kept by the bed for things that go bump in the night. Just don't miss!

Awesome, I say go for it... As long as it's legal. I get some crazy ideas when I'm bored also.

Re: Single shot 12ga tactical
Dammit guys! I've got one of those NE 12 gauges sitting in my closet that hasn't been fired in 20 years. I never considered cutting it up (or down) until this thread started.
Think about this for a minute....what'll that do to the resale value?

Re: Single shot 12ga tactical
I'm just glad I wasn't the only one that thought of this.
The ideal came to me after I saw the Mossberg SPX and then my brother bought a 410 snake charmer.
I found amazon had everything for under $50.

Re: Single shot 12ga tactical
If It was me, I'd cut it down (white line) to a pistol grip. Provided it was still 26" OAL.

Often wonder...
........how those Aguila mini-shells would work out in a short, light twelve?
I just like to pop in every now and then to see what nancyinpa has for sale.

Re: Single shot 12ga tactical
OK, I will admit that I also cut down a H&R single shot I put a synthetic stock on it and cut the barrel to 18.25inches, added an old M16 sling and a elastic shell holder on the buttstock. I used it as a "Cabin Gun" took it to the outhouse with me when I was at my cabin in Big Lake Alaska.
I recently took it to Ziggy's gunshop here in Dover and am having him put a screw in choke in it. The open choke was useless at any distance. I shoot trap loads out of it and even a light 2 3/4 dram load smacks the bejesus out of ya. I bought some of those mini slugs and buckshot and am gonna try those when I get it back
