Other then a Gen 2 PT111 I can't think of too many decent 9mm pistols under $300.00.

Not quite under $300, but S&W SD9VE is pretty close($311 shipped)
And I have no issue trusting it

I've had one for over a year and has run everything I ever put through it without a problem. Call them s**t or call them good,up to the individual. There's lemons in everything. MINE works!

Purchased a CPX2 for my wife to keep in the house, she liked the looks and feel of the pistol, She put one clip through it, 10 rounds and handed it back to me. She said her hand hurts and the gun has too much recoil. I put around 300 rounds through it no problems with any type of ammo but every so often the expended case would hit me in the head. If you go to the forums you will read that others had the same problem besides many other horror stories. I would never use it for a carry gun because in the back of my mind I don't trust the gun. I sold it for 150.00 dollars.

I forgot to mention that the CPX-1 I rented did the same thing at least twice in 100 rounds. I took one empty case right in the middle of my forehead. I believe in both instances it was on the last round in the magazine.
