Pallets of ammo? Who are these people and where can I meet them? I need to know whose house to run to if there ever is a zombie rising.

Does Pittsburgh or Allegheny county have any ordances/laws I should be aware of in the context of ammo? I've bought three firearms this month (since my C&R came in the mail): CZ-52, Nagant Revolver, and a M44 Carbine (cause it has a bayonet and that amuses me). So I'm going to be shy of seven guns for at least the next few months.

Until I get another gig editing a gaming book for some extra cash, I'll just be buying ammo. Hopefully, I'll get another editing gig in time to pick up a CZ-82 before they get too rare.

Oh, and I've never heard of Bill Dance.

Skuggi, rep point for the cool and useful link. Thanks very much.

WHAT?!?! Awww, geez... we gotta KID on here...

I remember - in the days BEFORE cable tv (1979 BC )- coming home from church, and watching "Bill Dance Outdoors" on the independent station out of Charlotte, 'til Sunday lunch was ready! I was Methodist at the time, so that was the BEST part of the day to me!

I remember the days before cable TV. It got me in the habit of reading books. If I remember correctly, after my parents split up, Mom wasn't able to swing cable until after the 3 years of child support legal wrangling were over, so we got cable round about 1983 or 84 and i was 10 or 11. I remember Pittsburgh Cable's "remote control" had a 25 foot or so cable connecting the remote and the cable box, and a rotary dial on the cable box.

But at 35, I don't get called young all that much. You made my day.

"arsenal" is a bogus term used by alarmist media and overzealous prosecutors to vilify someone who was arrested for whatever reason that warranted searching their home, and they found firearms...

I have heard 3 guns and several hundred rounds of ammo be described by the media as an arsenal, (which consisted of a deer rifle, a 12g shotgun, a .22 pistol, a brick of .22 ammo, 2 100 packs of 12g trap loads, and an assortment of rounds for hunting.)

As has been said, there is no legal threshold at which point you become illegal. "arsenal" is just used as a term for the ignorant public to scare them...

like i said arsenal is just a term. The thing you guys are all worried about is from a very old article. I'm not even sure if this is the original but rather scary. This was an outlined plan by Gun Control organizations.

Thanks for the gun control link, Skuggi! I think I'll print out a copy and keep it in my wallet.

Funny, I always thought an arsenal was where firearms were manufactured and an armory was where weapons (of any type) were stored.

And I've never considered 1000 rds. of any kind of ammo as a large quantity. In fact it's hardly enough for a weeks practice sessions. So if you're a dedicated competition shooter, just imagine the fun a news reporter could have describing your rifle/pistol/shotgun collection and your supply of ammo and components.
