Re: PICS research day 11
I hope you get approved! I think its ridiculous that minor non violent offenses can prevent you from owning guns!

Re: PICS research day 11
Glad it worked out for you. I had a situation where I was denied and lost out on a gun that I really wanted. A LGS had place an order for a Kel-Tec SUB2000. I was filling out the 4473 and the clerk realized my license was expired. I left to get it renewed at a fast tags and went back to complete the paperwork. It got delayed and after 15 business days later I was denied. Apparently they never looked at it while it was in research because it turned out to be about my license.
Long story short, I lost that gun and bout a Saiga a month later. I was in and out of the gun shop, a different one than before, in ten minutes. It was probably your drivers license that put it into research.
Glad it worked out for you.

Re: PICS research day 11
No. When we realized the license was expired, I left and renewed my license. Then came back and redid the 4473. I wasn't too upset about being put into research. I understand that perhaps the computers are not updated that fast. However they had 15 business day to research and denied on the last day. I obviously have no proof, but I suspect that nobody even looked at it and just denied it when the time limit was up.
Did I make that any clearer?
Edited: They do not give you a reason until you challenge it. I didn't challenge it because the shop sold the gun I was interested in.Last edited by ATBackpackin; March 19th, 2013 at 12:37 PM.
