    What mags worked for you?
I have found good luck with USGI 1911 7 rounders.

Here are pictures of the mags compared with the ACT mags that the gun came with. I racked the slide with a hollow point and took a pic so you could see how they hit the feed ramp. The other pics show the mags side by side aligned with the mag catch slot so you can see how much higher the follower sits.

I love this gun and I put those grips on because the kids think they are cool. To be honest, I like them. I have been saving up for a Springfield Range Officer as my next purchase. I also want a 1911 style Springfield EMP 9mm for my daughter. (She is 16 and I was thinking of getting one and getting custom grips made so I can give her the gun as a gift when she is 21.

Are you saying that you solved the problem by using 7 rd mags instead of 8 rd mags?

I've not even tried putting rounds in it yet. I did notice that the slide sure is a heck of a lot harder to pull back than my Glock though.

Of course the slide will feel more difficult to pull back, it's a man's gun. The Glock... well, notsomuch.

ha! Just kidding, I also have a Glock and I like it. I just don't like to admit it.

I had read that others had similar issues with their ATI and someone posted a link to those mags. I grabbed a couple and they worked. I am no expert on 1911's and I have never touched an RIA so take that for what it's worth. I will just say that I love ho my ATI shoots and even if yours was filled with epoxy, she sure is sweet looking. It makes me want one.
