Re: fast food joints RIPPING ME OFF!!!!
I'd say there's also the impact of "nutrition"-mindedness. The smaller the portion size, the "healthier" the food.
Hell, I was upset when they got rid of supersized fries at McDonald's...Safety is a good tool for tyrants; no one can be against safety.

When the length of the sandwich in question is in the advertising, you are usually pretty safe knowing you aren't going to get shorted.

Re: fast food joints RIPPING ME OFF!!!!
Funny. I hit up the lounge to make a fast food related post.
Stopped at wendys on the way home. The JBC is definitely smaller than it used to be.
But on the plus side this was the first time since it was introduced that they didn't ask me "chocolate or vanilla" when I ordered a frosty. I was so happy.
The vanilla frosty is a disgrace to the frosty name!
If you want one of those travesties you should have to specifically request it and there should be a dollar surcharge for smearing the hard-earned reputation of the beloved frosty.

Re: fast food joints RIPPING ME OFF!!!!
Be happy that you all even get what you order. I went to dinner with my mother tonight, and ordered a wonderful looking chicken dish. I waited in anticipation, savoring the thought of delicious chicken. There was no chicken. None.* I felt cheated.
*It didn't help that we were in a vegan restaurant. I agreed to accompany my mother only because she's vegetarian for her health. I suppose the chicken-flavored tofu strips were fairly good in their own right. I knew what I was in for when I agreed to tag along, but I still can't help feeling cheated - the menu specifically said chicken.KnightZero - Zombie Killing Mercenary Watchman for hire. Will work for food.

Re: fast food joints RIPPING ME OFF!!!!
Hate to tell you all this but this is happening everywhere, try comparing just about anything you bought 6mos to a year ago with the stuff in the store now. Guaranteed the weight or amount is now less even though the price is the same.
