Re: Cold weather shooting
Under Armour cold gear shooting gloves. I have mine in black/dark blue.
Special grip texture so you can maintain a firm grip, works quite well.
Also, the trigger finger on both hands can be folded back, only exposing said finger. It works well enough, I went shooting in 15 degree +high winds the other day and my hands were relatively warm. Though my trigger finger did get pretty damned cold after an hour, there is only so much you can do to keep warm and maintain a tactile sensation.
Seriously great for 30-50 degree weather though.

I was out shooting muzzleloaders the other day. My fingers were so numb I could barely load it. I cant wait for the warm weather to come again...

Re: Cold weather shooting
Wow, that is really neat. The shoots that I go to all quit by November. I love to shoot
03s and garands in cmp matches. Running the bolt guns through the rapid stages is such a rush.

Re: Cold weather shooting
I am doing a little more shooting in the cold now but the walk is a little difficult 200 yds in 36 inches of snow is no fun.

Re: Cold weather shooting
During cold weather I find it very advantageous to have all my magazines charged prior to going to the range.
And since I'm usually the only one at the range I can also set up two or three target stands so that I only have to walk out once to set up and retrieve targets."Having a gun and thinking you are armed is like having a piano and thinking you are a musician" Col. Jeff Cooper (U.S.M.C. Ret.)
