thanks for the replies. yes, i'm getting back pay, but i mean... is that enough?

and any agency involved with health care can put a hold on your license as long as they wish... so I HAVE to go through this again.

the boss just called and said come to work an hour early tomorrow, and be ready to work.

this is bad for all involved. the client is upset that this went so far, the family (who I have previously spent much care-conference time with) is mortified, the facility is hurt because they've had to replace me with agency nurses (which cost more than twice as much per hour as a staff nurse... and generally do far less work), and I had 3 utterly sleepless nights in fear of losing everything.

and of course, wondering what the hell I would do if it all went wrong... and THAT was not a pretty picture.

The best option I think, is to wait until fully cleared, exonerated, what-have-you, and go agency staffing myself.... hell they get like $9 more per hour. I definitely have my shit together as far as job skills go, so I think I can handle it. Less work, more money... sounds like a winner to me.

Work to get your name and reputation cleared with your employer and with any regulatory group involved including the PA State Police. Get a lawyer. Insist that the dope making the accusatory remarks prepares a written statement clearing you.

the final agent was the most frank about it, as everyone else danced around the specifics.

client stated, "I dreamed he came in and had sex with me last night"

nurse in question reported, "I think he raped this woman".

No, I don't work nights at this facility, and yes, this is the nurse who is believed to be stealing narcotics.
