In it's poisoned pill form it will have to be killed...not worth it at all.
Anyone know the names of the elected scumbags who added this anti-gun BS?
Hopefully some of them are coming up for re-election soon.
Time for another round of contacts....

Re: [PAFOA Blog] Important Castle Doctrine Vote Monday 9/27!
Dirty under the table tricks indeed.
I wonder if we can pressure our reps to introduce a constitutional amendment bill to make "paper-clipping" other measures to other bills illegal...
Yeah, I know, but I can dream can't I?

Pa. House takes up castle doctrine expansion bill
Associated Press - October 4, 2010 6:15 PM ET
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - The Pennsylvania House is advancing a bill that would expand legal protections for people who shoot others in self-defense.
The House on Monday advanced a bill that would apply the "castle doctrine" to places outside the home or vehicle. It removes the duty to retreat before using deadly force, except under certain circumstances.
Democrats had hoped to change the bill, but Republicans drew dozens of Democratic votes on a measure to prevent the legislation from being amended.
A test vote suggests there'll probably be more than 150 votes for the bill on final passage.
That vote could occur as early as Tuesday evening.

Re: [PAFOA Blog] Important Castle Doctrine Vote Monday 9/27!
just got this from the nra.
Thanks to a rarely used procedural motion, House Bill 40 passed second consideration today by a vote of 156-41. This special motion prevented the attachment of a large number of dangerous anti-gun riders. HB40 will be considered for a final floor vote TOMORROW, Tuesday, October 5.
HB40, sponsored by State Representative Scott Perry (R-92), is the "Castle Doctrine" bill that would permit law-abiding citizens to use force, including deadly force, against an attacker in their homes and any places outside of their home where they have a legal right to be. "Castle Doctrine" would also protect individuals from civil lawsuits by the attacker or the attacker's family when force is used.
Anti-gun zealots in Harrisburg sought to hijack HB40 with language that would: ban semi-automatic rifles; impose "one-gun-a-month" purchasing restrictions; enact a prohibition on the use of out of state Right-to-Carry permits by Pennsylvania residents while inside the Commonwealth; require mandatory reporting of lost or stolen firearms; order the mandatory storage of firearms within the home; and increase regulations on firearm ownership in Philadelphia. This attempt failed!
Please contact your State Representative IMMEDIATELY and respectfully urge them to vote for HB40. Pennsylvania lawmakers need to stop criminal coddling judges from putting the rights of criminals before the rights of the law-abiding. Contact information can be found by clicking here. You must pay attention to the man behind the curtain. Or you will loose.

Blazer, I also saw that they disallowed the BS to taint the bill. I urged my Sen. & Rep. to vote in support of the bill.

Re: [PAFOA Blog] Important Castle Doctrine Vote Monday 9/27!
And now it goes to the Senate for their passage. If they do I wonder if Rendell will sign it into law?

It now goes to the Senate Judiciary Committee. These are the people on that committee. Write to them and urge them to get it on Rendells Desk.
