Hmmmm . . . I wonder if they'll take an 01 FFL. Maybe they just don't understand how to do a transfer.
If you buy something OTC and then put it onto your books, there's nothing wrong with that. You're essentially transferring something from YOU to YOU THE FFL. Very metaphysical.

Well I think that says it all. Thanks much Martin. You also answered a secondary question I had about C&R guns acquired prior to the license. I don't know why they'd want you to show the disposition of a gun that isn't listed on the acquisition side, but that's a minor issue.
This has been really helpful and is why we need a C&R section. Just sayin'...
