i was wondering the same thing.

i plan on getting there early, as i have my .243, and im pretty sure i never shot it since i put the new scope on it, so ill have to get it in.

so even if its canceled, it wont be a total wash for me, but im not traveling nearly as far as you.

i dont know where the shoot is planning on being held, but the rifle range shooting benches are under roof, so ill be sighting my rifle in for sure, unless its REALLY blowing too.

so i guess its quite obvious that i was not in attendance today. My family and friends through me a surprise going away party last night since i mobilize to iraq in 5 days. I woke up at 7:45 this morning, called my buddy and he didn't answer so i just passed back out...I loaded 70 rounds of .308 and was ready to go

werent very many people there. today was the cmp shoot too, forgot about htat or i would have brough tmy ar as well

got a late start, WELL after 10:30, and it was as hot as a sob.

all in all, i was upset at my performance. the only group i was happy with was my 100 yd rimfire shots. the score was very low, cuz i was holding too high, but the group was 1/2 the size of my 50 yd group.

i think the 22lr shooters have a definate disadvantage since the 17hmr shooters are in hte same class.

but , a bad day shooting is still better than a good day working
