If you already have a G27 the G23 would be nice because you can use G23 mags in the 27 and the G23 barrels in the 27 plus some other parts would interchange.

For the 27 did you try the GAP mag plates?

IMO the new GLOCK is the right choice for 2 reasons. 1- it's new so you know what your getting, and 2- it's a GLOCK.

    I would pick the Beretta.

I don't shoot Glocks nearly as well as other pistols (I know, my hands were made wrong). I have had some experience with the PX in 9mm. I don't think it's a great looking pistol but it functioned flawlessly.

As to aftermarket parts. I don't modify my handguns much and you can find holsters for the Beretta without an issue.

Good point...When I checked out the Beretta, the trigger would still pull as if the safety was not engaged even when the safety was on. The new one they had did not do that and that issue concerned me. By the way, am originally from Montoursville! Small world.

I am partial to Glock. That said, try them both and see which gun fits better in your hand.

I met a old WWII vet showing his grandson how to shoot with some compact Beretta. It jammed and i heard him tell his grandson something along the lines of "It jams a lot because its Italian... that's why they lost the war" lol

FWIW i have never shot a Beretta so i can't really speak to their quality but i do have a Glock 19 and 26 they are fine handguns

I would go with the Glock, out of all the guns I have I like my Glocks the best

If it was the PX4 vs. Glock 23 I'd really be confused buta SC vs. Compact for range and CC. I'll always go with the Compact. I have the G23, G19 & a PX4 in 45acp. For CC carry the Glocks but the Px4 could do it. Range shooting the Px4 and the Glock 19 are better but the Glock 23 is no slouch. All three are very good guns some think the G23 is the perfect gun easy to CC and very easy to shoot, just the right size and power. I like Berettas but a SC for lots of range shooting I wouldn't recommend, even in the PX4 Beretta.
