Re: OC encounter King of Prussia
Add me to the list of confused...
Anyway, not really realted to the OP, but just because it is fresh on my mind..... I OC'd tonight to the Best Buy in Wilkes-Barre, as I have done many times. We went to buy the wife's Christmas/Hanukkah present, a new laptop.
So anyway, not only was there no issue as usual, but the supervisor (yellow shirt) went way beyond the norm to help us. After Judy decided on a model we were informed they were out of stock. I mentioned to the supervisor this (since he said he thought they had them when we first inquired) and he offered to go check the truck that came in but no one had time to unload, etc due to the crowd.
Long story short, they had some on that truck and he dug one out for us.
Had a long talk with the other "yellow shirt" (girl), paid and went on our way.
I always have been treated better than usual (for big box type store) by Best Buy and tonight was no exception. I saved $$ for a while now to be able to buy Mrs this gift and I'm glad Best Buy got the $$._________________________________________

Re: OC encounter King of Prussia
OP:
Just to put into words what the others are shaking their heads about. Now this is my opinion and I am not speaking for others. You did the correct and responsible thing here by standing up for your (AND OUR) rights.
i said does BB not follow the state laws of PA for legal carry? because i was sure corporate policy was to allow legal carry.came back and said i was fine
This unfortunately gives some power and positive reinforcement to the store that they can ask us to conceal even though THEIR policy and the LAW says that we can OC.
We are all representatives for each others rights. I have, in the past, also taken the less confrontational path. I hope to never do so again. I am not saying that I will not but it is a goal I have.
Many on this board (and at least 1 who has passed) have fought this battle already for us and it is high time we pick up the torch.

I dunno. I'm certainly not faulting the OP, I'm just not sure he gave enough finite detail to the how and why of what he did. I see no problem with concealing for purposes of showing your respect for the property owners wishes. And I can understand offering same (concealing) as a gesture, even when not required. I would be interested in hearing more about the how and why from the OP.
