I have 2 ladder stands on the property so he knows someone is hunting there. I'll be setting up near his feeder on Saturday so maybe I'll run into him then. I am definitely going to talk to the landowner on Saturday also and if he does not have permission the deer be gone idea sounds like a winner I may be just overreacting but I've had that spot by myself for 13 years so I was very bummed to see other activity there. BTW his stand is fixed.

What quantity of feed is at the "feeder"?

This MAY be an unlawfully baited area (if the quantity of "feed" exceeds five gallons).

Deer B Gone does exist...here's the recipe:

    4 eggs
    1 – 2 tbsp cayenne
    1 – 2 tbsp garlic powder
    ¼ cup Wilt-Pruf (as a sticker spreader)
    Water

Put 4 raw eggs in a blender. Add cayenne and garlic powder. Blend on high until completely mixed. Pour into an empty gallon container. Add Wilt-Pruf and enough water to make a gallon. Mix well.

And as stated watch hunting around any baited areas.

Go to your local barber shop and ask for all of their hair clippings from that day (it's trash so they will let you have it) Then spread it around his stand. That will put the human odor all over and the deer will not come near him.

bating is legal in some zones now - 5D is one of them

Speak with the land owner. its possible he has handed out permission, the last thing you want to do is challenge someone only to find out they are family or a long time friend and then you lose your permission to hunt... that would suck just a tad
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

You guys probably know better than me, but coyote piss is used by EPA and other government organizations to keep deer away from areas or from eating plants. And it's sold just about everywhere.

Baiting is lawful on private property in the South-East Special Regulations area. Wildlife Management Area 5D only comprises part of the SE Special Regs. area.
