Re: Odds of Assault Weapons Ban in PA
I think we need to stop nominating coo-coo heads as a party like Doug Mastriano and Dr. Oz. I mean these people are legitimately crazy. I shudder to think how much worse it would have been if we nominated someone who is even more psycho like Kathy Barnette(who even refused to support her own party by endorsing Dr. Oz) It says a lot about our collective intellect that we continue to nominate people who have no chance of winning general elections in a swing state like PA where the D’s outnumber us by 700k or so registered voters.

Re: Odds of Assault Weapons Ban in PA
State Rep Rob Kaufman has promised on numerous occasions that gun legislation will never make it out of his committee. Unfortunately he won't last forever either.... We need to not only elect more independent minded and middle of the road 2A friendly conservatives, but bring the state supreme court back in line and ensure article 1 section 21 in our state constitution is bulletproof.
Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.

Re: Odds of Assault Weapons Ban in PA
This is exactly more what I’m talking about. We need MIDDLE of the road 2A friendly conservatives who can appeal to at least some people in the middle and on the left(or at least not piss off the left SO much that they’re motivated to vote in the numbers they did last week). This is a swing state. Like it or not, we can’t win elections here as conservatives unless we have SOME buy in from moderates/liberals. Not saying we should compromise our beliefs, but even someone like Toomey, he was a strong vote against assault weapons bans, magazine bans, and most importantly abolishing the filibuster and adding states and packing the court. Same goes for what McCormick would have been. I have no doubt he could’ve wiped the floor with that vegetable Fetterpotato.

Re: Odds of Assault Weapons Ban in PA
I fear that between the influx of NJ and NY people (housing and taxes), their ideology, and the state almost completely controlled by Phil, Pitt, and Harrisburg, things will become very difficult
The question is, will you be on your feet or your knees?
