Re: Anyone use Servicios Aventuras Small Pistol Primers
I've given up. I used Federal exclusively and had all my revolvers set up with lightened trigger pulls to work with Federals. But since the last spate of bullshit and the much increased cost of Federal primers, I've retuned all my revolvers and they can work with anything! So now the criteria is price as long as they pop when I pull the trigger!

Re: Anyone use Servicios Aventuras Small Pistol Primers
Shot 200 rounds today with these primers with no issues, seems like a good purchase.

Re: Anyone use Servicios Aventuras Small Pistol Primers
FYI
NormaUSA has the Argentinian SPP for $49.99 per 1000.
No limits. No shipping over $150 and no Hazmat.

Added one unit to the cart. Shipping was $20 + PA tax so the total came out around $74.
Update 2/10: Looks like shipping depends on how much you order. Got 2 boxes plus PA sales tax for $105.98.
Ships free.Last edited by cephas; February 10th, 2024 at 09:58 AM.

Re: Anyone use Servicios Aventuras Small Pistol Primers
Got some of these and tried them out. Not a conclusive report but just my observations.
For testing I used 2 loads. I loaded them to match stock I had for my .38 special, Model 10 S&W, 4".
Primer pockets were cleaned manually prior to loading. Can not be certain if the pockets were cleaned on the stock loads prior to loading. Utilized mixed brass.
The Dillon 550 had no problem feeding or seating primers. I manually loaded the charge. This gave me a good look at how they seated.
The cardboard cover on the primer trays seem kinda loose and I had a few spill moving them.
Used older Pact chrono. Shot 12 rounds of each load. All fired, primers looked normal after discharge.
Load 1 was 3.0 grs Bullseye with a 141 gr. wadcutter.
Stock: CCI SPP average velocity 761.4 fps. SD 16.1. AD 12.6
SA primers: velocity 734 fps. SD 9.9 AD 7.9
Load 2 was 5.0 grs Unique with 158 gr LSWCHP.
Stock velocity CCI SPP was 919 fps. SD 12.3 AD8.0
SA primers velocity 876.4 SD 20 AD 15.5
Velocity was a tad slower with the SA primers, but that could be due to other factors.
What was noticeable was the residue left in the primer pockets after firing.
CCI primers on left, SA primers on right.
Without going any deeper down the rabbit hole I'll use them for my general plinking loads.
Overall shot 100 of them over the last couple days.
Probably clean the pockets a bit more than I do now
Save the premium primers for my social loads.

Re: Anyone use Servicios Aventuras Small Pistol Primers
I cant remember if I have ever cleaned a primer pocket on any of my 9mm pistol range brass LOL !
If the hole is open and not blocked its been good to go for me.
I've used these and just primed up 500 more the other day.
My shooting is mostly all range plinking.
I have not noticed a difference between them or ANY of the primers on the market
