I wonder if you could simply call the state police while you are there and report these type of people as acting reckless with a firearm at a public range. I am sure a state trooper pulling in hassling them a little would at a minimum ruin their day if not at least save the range from being blasted.

Judging by what i've read on here of past run-ins W/PSP, the people acting reckless (and possibly everyone @the range ) might be in for a hell of a day if they got called.
There is no way to make it out alive...

I just think if it is a state run range and people are there acting like a-holes which inherently could endanger others that if the game commission lacks the resources to patrol better the PASP would be an ideal solution.

I bet if the a-holes get hassled enough they might stop acting like a-holes. I would not have any issue if I was there acting responsibly and the PASP came by to respond to a complaint. I am confident in my ability to project the attitude of a responsible gun owner and not an immature a-hole with shotguns at a pistol range.

Took a run out to the range Saturday with my youngest. He wanted to put some more rounds down range with his Mosin. It was kind of nice in the sun but lots of mud at the benches and down range. The target frames are getting ratty with lots of holes, I think from the shotguns but I am not sure, fairly clean by the benches not to much brass on the pads. The only minor issue I saw was a late arrival walking back from down range on the berm wall while the handgun range was still hot. I haven’t met any of the asshats that others have reported. Only polite and considerate folks being safe and having fun.
