Default Robber shot at on video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sECV2MVYEWI

Thoughts? IMHO, the gun owner fired to close to the lady with the baby and fired in an unknown direction, there could have been innocent people outside in the parking lot. The gun owner seemed to trigger happy IMO.

At the cost of one less scumbag, sometimes it's worth it.

How can you Criticize someone in any situation like that???

He fired a shot after the robber began to retreat. That's generally a no-no...

Politically Correctly*, that would be true.. *yes, I intentionally spelled it that way.

But statutory and case laws aren't limited to the typical "self-defense" practices that these tactical schools, Ayoobimites and liberal panzies try to teach or pollute the collective conscience with.

No badguy is retreating until he is completely out of sight and/or out of range, he is temporarily withdrawing. Until either is fulfilled, he is still a viable threat to you and society and is mostly likely looking to gain the tactical advantage by finding another avenue of approach.

I saw this video before. I'm kinda ambivalent on his actions since you can't see exactly what the robber was doing, how he was acting. What's weird is the mom was just standing there like nothing was going on. I'd think if a robber was standing right next to her, she would've stepped aside.
Luckily, she saw the worker draw his gun and stepped aside. If she didn't, the babies head would've been right in the line of fire.

    I agree.

Way to close to the lady and the kid and without any regard to anyone outside.....people could have easily been walking up the the door.

Was there a gun involved? All I see is the robber running and the clerk shooting him as he flees.

OMG! I just seen what video it was.. This clip has been floating around the web for 2-4 years now. old.. old... old.... It happened in Ohio after a chain of motel robberies, some violent, at least one of which involved murder.

Neither the mother or baby was hit or burned by powder, so the clerk's shooting wasn't "too close". No bystanders were hit outside, so that wasn't an issue either. The badguy did have a weapon, several other motels in the area had been robbed recently, a clerk killed at one of them. The clerk in this video was justified and not convicted of anything.
