Freedom Armory has a range, don't know how it is though. I have never (and never will) shot there. And I am by no means recommending them for anything, just letting you know about the range. The last range I went to is in MD (Continental Arms) and that was 3 years ago. They also do gunsmithing at FA, again don't know how good they are.
Freedom Armory
Welcome to the area!!!

Re: New to the area.
Izaak Walton League just S. of York near Lake Redman. It's about 5 min from the Loganville exit on Rt. 83.
They have a benchrest, trap, and pistol matches and host one of the largest IPSC clubs in this portion of the country. No Silhouette or Airgun though.
Has a trap range, 100/200 yd rifle range, a 50 yard PPC pistol bay and another pistol bay. There are 5 more pistol bays that are restricted to match use. Lots of family activities at the club too.

Re: New to the area.
I haven't been there, but website:
http://www.geocities.com/westyorkspo...ods/range.html
West York Sporting Goods
(717) 852-0742
1059 W Market St
York, PA 17404
Tuesday thru Sunday from Noon - 9 PM
Sunday from 1 PM - 7 PM
Outdoor ranges are setup by PA Game Commission:
http://www.pgc.state.pa.us/pgc/cwp/v...a=480&q=161297
Rossville,PA (Northwest of Pinchot State Park)
From York, Rt74 North to Rossville, then continue travelling North on Old York Road (Straight through the light because Rt74 turns left at the Rossville light) toward Dillsburg, approx 3 miles. Parking lot and range on right side of highway before former Lerew's orchard.
Hope this helps.... although I don't know if either has your specific interests.
... Stay Safe ...

Re: New to the area.
If you shoot at any of the Game Commission ranges, be sure you read the rules and regulations and follow them carefully. Failure to comply is $$.

Re: New to the area.
Welcome!
If you like sporting clays check out Starview http://www.starviewsportsmen.org/
They have much more than Sporting clay shoots but those are open to the public on Sundays. They have a waiting list for membership but seem worth the wait, everyone I've met from there has been extremely nice.
Come out to the York City Council Meeting Wednesday night to help fight local Preemptive legislation and meet some of the local like minded people here!
