I don't know what DelCo does, but when applying for new, even if you had one before, it takes longer to get. Renewals take a week or two, an entirely new one took over a month when wifey lost her purse and everything, including her LTCF had to be redone. They said she had to go thru the process as if she never had one, couldn't just issue a duplicate. It still had a couple years left on it.

She's a teacher and just went back to work this week after summer break, so getting it back quick was good because she didn't have to wait for the occasional Saturday hours to pick it up. So in DelCo it does appear to be a difference.

She fills out the forms for renewal, asking me a question every now and then, pays the fee and submits the form on August 10, 2024.

On August 14, 2024 she gets an email from the Philadelphia Gun Permit Unit telling her she has to apply in her home county and they are refunding her money. Must have hit Philadelphia on one of the drop down boxes by mistake.

Yesterday, August 15, 2024 she fills it all out again, this time I double check, it's all good, pays hits submit. Today, August 16, 2024 she gets a call that it's ready to be picked up at the DelCo sheriff's office. Not sure if it took 6 days or 1 day to process, but it's better than the 45 'business' days they took when I got my first LTCF.
How does the photo get attached if submitting online?

Once approved you have to pick it up in person, there they take the photo and process the card. It beats having to go to Media twice once to fill out the forms and once to pick it up.
