    Default 30 super carry

Sorry if there's another thread out there but what's the consensus on 30 super carry caliber?
Seeing places moving S&W EZ with or without manual safety for $269 with $50 rebate bringing
down to $219 and free shipping. Tempted................

After seeing/hearing all the feedback I waited more than 20 minutes so bought it - lol. I'm weak.

Its hard to pass up a $220 Shield......But stock up on all the ammo you can get and save your brass. When they introduce a niche cartridge and close out the only firearm that shoots it 2 years later that should tell you something.

Yeah, that was my thought. My shop says still no problem getting it but figured I'd grab a bunch now to have. Thanks!

The market just never helped it take off. Objectively it seems like a great idea - similar ballistics and more capacity than 9mm. But 9mm is just so popular now it's difficult to dethrone...

I bet it shoots great, the only downsides are practical considerations: ammo cost and availability

But for $200 what do you have to lose..

Exactly my thoughts - $219 is the price of a beater gun - lol. I picked up some CCI Blazer and some Hornady Critical defense today and will probably grab a 1000 round case next week and that will hold me quite well for all of time - lol.

I've been tempted to pull the trigger on this too!

While you're at it, and before the guns and ammo go out of production, getcha a .327 Federal Magnum revolver, too, for similar reasons: Energy near the low end of 357 Magnum and hot 9mm, but allegedly less recoil.

    Oh, wait . . .
