Oh I'm sure it was price, and Tisas is a decent gun - but Lower priced Springfields go for $699-$799 and I think they would still sell a lot being a real American 1911? Who knows, maybe I'm being too sensitive but offering a replica of an American piece of history with an import just seems wrong.

We live in a global marketplace and that is just the way it is these days. I try to buy American but if it surpasses my budget or simply isn't available then that is that, I will buy foreign.
I would expect CMP start to pivot into other products as the old surplus is drying up and they will need other projects to fund the organization.
