I rode the bus between Clark AFB and Subic Bay a few times and there were markers along the roads where the POWs walked on the way to death and torture. I thought about them then and now.

I had a buddy who shipped in from Clark after Mt Pinatubo blew. Man, did he have some stories to tell about being stationed in the Philippines. Really wish I got a tour there!
