Exclamation How to transport gun safe

Hi all. I need to buy a safe but I don’t have a truck. All I have is a sedan. Do you know someone who moves safes or would otherwise provide help with transportation, both pick up and drop off? Or if you have one to sell, please reach out. ty

Rent a trailer from Home Depot. And a hand truck if needed.

I moved my 1000 lb safe with a Harbor Freight 4x8 trailer and a hand truck. Loaded in one garage, loaded out in a second garage. It was pretty easy and straight forward.

When I later went to move it from garage into the basement of the house, it was more complicated but still did it with just myself a buddy and some slight assistance from wife. Also used the winch in the Jeep and related gear, but I had special circumstances.

If you're a tsc member you get free trailer rentals.

Do you have an Agway/True Value near you? They usually will deliver the safe and their prices aren*t bad, At least the two local to me here in NEPA.

Call Safe Bet Movers. He's out of Delaware, but he'll go just about anywhere within reason. He services Chester County. I had him pickup a safe at Tractor Supply and move it into my house a few years back.

I got a 600 pound Liberty at Cabelas and had my contractor pick it up and set it in place in a first floor room. He charged me $300. He had 2 of his friends help with offloading from his pickup and moving it into the house.

Where are you getting the safe from? Most places that sell them will either deliver them or have a company that does it. Some places will let you order one online and will ship it to your house, you'll just have to move it into the house yourself.
