Default Question about Tennessee permitless carry - anyone here know?

The Tennessee state government website and USCCA still seem to indicate you need to take a class and apply for a permit to carry concealed. As of right now, today. But they supposedly passed permitless constitutional carry in 2021. My brother just moved there and is asking me about it.

Here is what is on the TN.GOV website:

Is anyone here familiar with Tennessee carry laws? Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I found my answer here.

Apparently you can cary in some places without a permit, but that is a restricted list. Taking training and getting a permit allows for carry in more locations.

I see you found an answer however I'll throw this out there, I think handgunlaw.us has the most reliable and up to date info out there, except for the state's gov't site itself.

I don't know for certain but when I was down there, I got the impression that permitless carry was OC.
