Bensalem Dirtbags on dirtbikes
A dirt bike rider is wanted in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, after authorities say the suspect targeted a 64-year-old man, striking him once before running the victim over a second time on Saturday. The victim was walking in the 1600 block of Neshaminy Valley Drive around 7:50 p.m. when the rider on the illegal dirt bike "intentionally" hit him, the Bensalem Police Department said.
The 64-year-old was knocked to the ground, and the dirt bike rode over him a second time, causing substantial injuries to his extremities and internal organs, according to police.
First responders rushed the victim to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital, where he is currently listed in serious but stable condition.

What's the law about shooting someone on a dirt bike as he's running over an innocent victim?

Re: Bensalem Dirtbags on dirtbikes
I'm not sure the smart money would tell you to hang around after shooting an "unarmed youth" in any jurisdiction infected by Philly mindsets.
Not that it's safe to flee the scene, either; running away shows consciousness of guilt, they say; or it could show an awareness that urban areas are psychotic when it comes to people defending themselves or others from human predators. Using deadly force against feral yutes is like being a peasant in feudal days, and having to stab the King's favorite prince to death because he was raping your daughter. You're not going to get justice no matter what you do after that, so hiding looks like a viable option.
They should offer a substantial reward & immunity to the other rider if he dimes out his buddy; better yet, offer BOTH of them a deal but only the first one to the police gets it (except that the guy who ran over the man gets a worse deal; just offer him cash, then get the other guy to incriminate the assailant).Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Re: Bensalem Dirtbags on dirtbikes
There was an older guy (70 IIRC) riding his bike on a trail near Reading a few years back. A few youth knocked him over and started a beat down. He pulled a gun and killed one of them. Justified. No charges. I think they had skipped school to go to a job fair...

Tactical error
A preliminary investigation found the 64-year-old man and his son were traveling on Neshaminy Boulevard when there was an argument between him and two males on dirt bikes.
After the confrontation, the man got back into his car and the dirt bikers followed him. The man stopped, got out of his car, and they started arguing again.
This time one biker revved his engine before striking the man, who fell backwards and hit his head on the asphalt. The biker then revved his engine again and drove over the man*s chest while he was on the ground, Vandegrift said.
