Re: Probation officer just told me she'd take MY guns !
First thing is don*t talk to the po.
Next thing is lock the guns up in a safe to which no one but you has access.
Next is evict dead beat girlfriend and very likely brother too.
As someone pointed out, you have bigger issues at your place.Crusader's local #556 South Central Asia chapter

Re: Probation officer just told me she'd take MY guns !
I might be wrong on this... it comes from one of my customers. Unless you signed some kind of contract, the po can not confiscate anything. The sanction comes in the form of the probation order being revoked or modified. The example being the po reports firearms present in the home. The judge revokes or modifies the order, making the girlfriend move to another location or (and sounds better) sends her back to jail.

Re: Probation officer just told me she'd take MY guns !
I agree on the big-ass safe. PO's and cops tend not to grab things that require a lot of work, especially when they can't justify the seizure.
I also agree on not having a roommate with recent criminal convictions. All your door locks & security systems are moot when you allow the criminal to live inside. Guns, prescription drugs, identity theft & credit cards taken out in your name . . . so many bad things.
Pay for a week at a motel for the both of them, then change the locks on your doors. Let the motel deal with them when the money runs out. The bro and con can self-evict to the motel. Otherwise, if they established residency, you have to formally evict them. And wait for her to get a PFA against you by lying her ass off in a closed ex parte hearing, so YOU have to leave after she spins a tale of your menage a trois and your physical abuse & threats.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com
