Re: Wyoming Area Regional Police Department.
Then hop on the trusty old Electromatic and type out a complete and unabridged history of Regional Police Departments in the Commonweath, strongly worded with twenty-seven illustrative 8 x 10 colored glossy pictures with the circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one.
Send it to all the editors. It is your moral imperative.

Re: Wyoming Area Regional Police Department.
I*m surprised it got off the ground. Bears close watching as this will eventually be the norm with all the other smaller departments in the area.

Re: Wyoming Area Regional Police Department.
Officers are for regionalization**it*s the powers that run the smaller towns that are against it.
FYI, I*ve been working in a smaller department for over 24 years. There was talks about 15 years ago to form a regional department amongst several other boroughs. It never got beyond talks and some studies. Most if not all of these boroughs have a hard time maintaining their individual police departments. With the shortage of officers currently sweeping the nation, it*s only going to get harder and harder.
The powers that be need to decide if they can keep their police*..with many facing having to turn into part-time departments because of the lack of manpower**or sucking it up and joining forces with neighboring departments.
