It’s designed for competition. Just enough we’re imported to make the production list in uspsa. I’ve seen more than a few uspsa guys rolling around with more than 6k on their hip. Price out an infinity open gun and it’ll make you choke. Its about two of those if you do it up with all the bells and whistles

I get it, but your talking about guys spending that kind of coin on custom tuned race guns. I just don't see this as in the same league as those.

I'd pay a visit to Jason Burton for a $6000 handgun...

Carry optics and production guys are quickly closing the gap.
    1400 for a shadow 2
    500 for an optic
100 for the proper plate to mount
    500 in tune up parts.
Magazines base pads and extensions 500

Gets you halfway there. The originally rumor when this came out was the first run guns were going to be this much and subsequent runs come in about the 2500 dollar mark.

It’s always been a gear race and guys will pay money for any perceived advantage. It’s why there are guys running around with brass flashlights on a gun that’s already hevay as hell

Let*s face it men and women, we are United States Americans. We always strive for bigger, better, nicer, more expensive, and top of the line! The line that keeps moving up! Shooting is fun! I am in my sixties, retired and pretty well happy with my wife of 36 years. But I might have to go to that website*

He doesn't get anything from YouTube, he's been demonitized for years. Patreon and sponsors are where he gets his income. My guess is, he got a T&E gun sent to him. Look for a lot of the big name YouTubers to have videos on it. They usually all come out around the same time when a company sends out samples.
