Do any of you use a laser training system?
Every few months i look into them. I read the reviews. And then ultimately do nothing because of the cost.
Well now ammo costs are high enough to justify. So do any of you use one? Do you like it? Which system did you pick and why? Which targets do you like?

Re: Do any of you use a laser training system?
I received an Itarget system for Christmas. I was very impressed with it. It was easy to setup and easy to use and everything appears to work as advertised. I started with the 9mm set and then wanted to add a .45. When I went to the Itarget web site I thought the price was a little high for an additional bullet, Shopped around a bit and found an outfit called Redpoint LLC that has all of the components at a much more reasonable cost, My only gripe about the system is that you can't shoot multiples. For draw and first shot , it's the nuts though.
Good luck with your quest,
Smit

I use the mantisx training academy app. on my iphone it's a free app.. Some of the drills are free and you can download the targets for free. I bought some laser ammo from redpoint . Laserlyte also makes some different targets. www.laserlyte.com I just bought a sirt ar15 bolt that I like a lot from nextlevel training. https://nextleveltraining.com/product/sirt-bolt/

I too bought an iTarget system a couple of weeks ago. Used it for the first time yesterday, and I'm very pleased. I had a minor technical issue with the app, but their CS resolved the issue quickly. I explained that briefly here: https://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=370797
You can also save screenshots when you're done, and could feasibly use this feature to have some competition between other users.

I've tried them and I found I wind up looking at the laser instead of my sight picture. I was better off dry firing. If they had something that was IR so you couldn't see it, it would be better.

I bought an ELMS G sight for my daughter for Christmas. $89 and it performs well, quality product.

Re: Do any of you use a laser training system?
I have an iTarget and one of these that I like better because it's easy to set up and can be used at the range or for dry firing:

With the iTarget, the laser on lights when the hammer is dropped. It is not on continuously like a laser sight, and it is not illuminated while you are "aiming" your shot.
The iTarget can be used both at a range and for dry fire practice. I'm trying to understand a little better what you think the differences are, or what the iTarget isn't doing that you think the other one does.Get your "Guns Save Lives" stickers today! PM for more info.
