Re: REST IN POWER The Travon martin story........
I am curious as to if Paramount Studios is going to pay for all the destruction for when the riots start again, and pay for all those injured or killed during them riots. I figure within an hour of this hitting the air it will be a shit show.

Re: REST IN POWER The Travon martin story........
So much vitriol for a dead teenager is disgusting. This boy, regardless of his history, should never have been confronted by Zimmerman. You repeatedly ignore the fact that the 911 operator told this nut job not to go after the kid. To wait for the police to get there. That trumps (no pun intended) anything you say about him having grand ideas of being a "good witness".
To the person that commented on why didn't TM call the police. Keep in mind this was a teen, one step removed from a child. Regardless of physical size, mentally he probably didn't have the maturity to respond on the level of an adult. And even adults make wrong decisions all the time.
The fact is, the boy was walking down the street, and some stranger confronts him asking him to validate that he belonged in that neighborhood. He was under no obligation to justify his right to walk down a street. Now none of us were there, but my guess would be that GZ wasn't being Mr. Polite and Respectful when he approached him. GZ ,a grown man, got bested by a boy in what turned into a hand to hand situation. All avoidable by actually LISTENING TO THE 911 OPERATOR. From the beginning, this man knew that he was concealed carrying and had the potential to turn a self-initiated confrontation into a lethal one.
As a relatively new LTCF holder who has been learning pretty much everything about firearms and legally carrying, I appreciate the knowledge in forums like this. But seeing the viewpoints on topics it really causes me to be concerned about what the future holds.Last edited by tradedate; July 31st, 2018 at 09:01 AM.

Re: REST IN POWER The Travon martin story........
You gloss over some important facts. GZ was in the neighborhood watch, looking out for his neighbors is part of that, so investigating a suspicious individual and calling 911 is what was expected of him. Also when the 911 operator told him not to follow, he obeyed and that's when TV jumped him (yes, jumped him, initiated contact, knocking GZ to the ground, then attempting to beat him to death). HE WAS LISTENING TO THE 911 OPERATOR when he was ATTACKED. So much for your theory TM was just a good little boy who was afraid of the big bad "white" man.
