What was he thinking? (Congressional Candidate for the 8th district)
Dr. Marc Duone, a neuro-psychologist from Plumstead Twp, has had a pow-wow with the Courier Times editorial board and explained his positions in running for congress in the 8th district. One of the things he told the board is, "I am a licensed (gun) carrier and a lousy shot. It is the law of the land and I absolutely support the constitution".
Is it just me? That I would expect a psychologist to realize what he said will elicit responses such as, "Great! He's loose among us and God knows who he'll hit if he ever shoots that gun in a public setting". ??
Probably an attempt at faux humility, but wow I wish he hadn't said that.

Define lousy.
10 rounds at 10 yards:
- into a 10" paper plate
- through the same hole
To some, #1 is sufficient. Others are not satisfied until they achieve #2.
I do understand the intent of your post. He just handed the antis a (very small) amount of ammunition.Soap Box - Worn out : Ballot Box - Broken : Jury Box - Pending : Ammunition Box - Unknown

Anti's do not allow anything to appear small when they twist the information.

I think I get what he's trying to say, owning a gun is a right and nothing else matters such as training, competency or proficiency to use it etc. I hope he's a little more eloquent and thoughtful next time.

Met him tonight. He is aware of the reactions to what he said, and asked me my specific concern. I told him as I wrote above. He had other things to discuss and didn't dwell on it, which of course is good management of available time.
Here is his website: WWW.duomeforcongrerss.com
I would encourage all to look into it if you are covered by the 8th district.
