Your radiator has an age requirement?

all you get is ridicule, laughter,

You don't show your age but I remember those days well. Never charged with anything. All they did was take our beer. Never even stopped us from driving away. Sometimes it was state police, sometimes Hamburg locals. Man how I miss those days when we didn't have to worry about our rights being violated.
The older I get, the better I used to be.

No, what I'm talking about was a much slower, more gradual change than hot McDonald's coffee.

The cops were still the good guys.

No I mean from "our end".. you use to be able to do stuff like dump out the kids beer and tell them to go home... not tickets, no big deal. Then the world turned on it's ear and it became a big deal and kids had to get citations... had to be driven home.. had to go on a report.. blah blah.

Life was much more simple back in the day.

I've always heard the folks making food in those places take certain "liberties" when making a police officers order.
When I worked in fast food we fed the cops for free and the grill people didn't know and didn't care that the food was going to a cop.

I might have been driving with beer in my car back in the day and got pulled over for a traffic light violation. That's just what I got , too. a 35.00 ticket.
Oh, and a polite request to go home.
