Phillies Citizens Bank Park
Heading to a Phillies game, did the search but everything is from 2010 looking for something more recent.
Has anyone been recently? What is security like considering concealed carry SOB perhaps? Patdowns, wands, etc... May also consider a Smart Carry instead of SOB.

Re: Phillies Citizens Bank Park
Things have changed. They installed them in July this year. All stadiums will have them next season

Re: Phillies Citizens Bank Park
Yes.
The article being irrelevant as i was actually there yesterday, for the 7pm game that Howard hit a grand slam to win it in the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs.
The article said right field gate. I entered via the 3rd base gate, aside of Parking lot S......and there were no metal detectors at that gate.
So keep referring to the article if you want but I was JUST there and have REAL experience.
Carry on.Last edited by BenFoo; August 8th, 2014 at 02:24 PM. Reason: Spelling error

Re: Phillies Citizens Bank Park
The question is who do we address to get that reversed and what level of action needs to be applied.

"To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic." -- Ted Nugent

Re: Phillies Citizens Bank Park
MLB and good luck buddy, best bet is to stop giving money to MLB
maybe get ahold of the NRA (sure they already know of the issues since its a nation wide thing)
I mean granted the property is still owned by someone other than the MLB, but its kind of like that sterling ordeal making them sell his team..
ESPN Source:
Major League Baseball security director John Skinner said on Friday that all 30 teams are expected to screen all fans entering their ballparks next season. Some aspects of the screening will be left to individual teams, but the commissioner's office is planning to recommend walk-through metal detectors, he said.Last edited by Svickstc; August 8th, 2014 at 02:41 PM.
