Cowboy Action
Ive really been looking to get a Single Action replica for the collection and fun. What kind of inexspensive, quality options do i have? ( taurus, ruger, colt etc.) And caliber wise id like something in a .357/.38 special rather then a .45 LC but id settle...
Thanks

Re: Cowboy Action
There are many replicas and copies out there. Uberti is owned by Beretta USA and they really make nice handguns and cowboy rifles. I have a Uberti Bisley in .45C that is a good shooter. I also bought one of their copies of the Colt pump rifle in .45C and it is sweet. Great Western and others also make good weapons and you can find almost any of them in .38spl or .357 mag.

Re: Cowboy Action
Colt is not even close to inexpensive. I'd go with Ruger.

Re: Cowboy Action
I'll toss in a vote for "get a Ruger". .357 if you want to be able to purchase ammo anywhere, and relatively cheaply.
Old model Vaquero in .45 colt if you want to have some fun with hot handloads

Re: Cowboy Action
If you just want a single action for fun and don't care about authenticity the Ruger is good but it functions nothing like a Colt or Colt clones.
