Northumberland County Libertarians
Hello All,
I am currently working on putting together a Northumberland County Libertarian Committee. With the goal of increasing registered libertarians within the county, spreading the message of liberty within the county, and seeking out and running good Libertarian candidates locally.
If anyone has any interest. there are two basic requirements, one, that you be registered with the board of elections as a Libertarian, and two that you are a member in good standing with the LPPA. Dues for the state party are $15 a year.
If the cost is an issue, but are willing to volunteer some time for the cause of liberty locally, it will not be a problem to be covered.
You can contact me here on the forum or via facebook to get the ball rolling.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

This is a link to the recent Libertarian Organizational Workshop that was hosted by the Montgomery County Libertarians, The speaker is James Babb, He describes his journey a bit, and describes some of the things that they are doing in Montgomery County.
This is very much the type of group I would like to model the Northumberland County libertarians after. One that not only is active in recruiting candidates and putting them on the ballot, but one that gets out in the community and promotes liberty, through education and direct action.

Re: Northumberland County Libertarians
Is this just maybe a dead section of the forum? Or maybe not many Northumberland county residents come here.
I understand that it will be a very small percentage of residents who will actually want to get involved.
One thing I will mention is that the committee will need at least 12 members, only 4 of them will need to hold a "position" with the county committee. that means actual work. the chair, vice chair, treasurer, and secretary. the other 8 members only need at minimum to be members of the state party and show up at the county committee meetings once a quarter.
If I can get a few individuals that are at least willing to do that and support us. That is all I am asking.Last edited by The Drew; February 24th, 2013 at 08:15 AM.

Well I Pretty much follow the LP platform as listed on the LP.org website. But I welcome all people who want to work towards greater liberty.

And for the record, I don't think Nader is a libertarian, last time I recall he was running on the Green party ticket. They're ultra leftist

NBD on Nader, I think part of the challenge really is to get people to really understand what we're really about.
