Montco sheriff
I went to the courthouse today to renew my license, and overheard one of the sheriffs inform a new carrier about the state law that prohibits carrying of concealed weapons on all college campuses. Is this a law?

Re: Montco sheriff
Not unless our college campuses have been reduced to K-12 "schools".
I swear, Montco is the yuppiest ignorant Appalachian backwater I know of, it's like they lack access to books and such; the DA has anti-gun policies, the Sheriff's office was hostile to gun ownership under the previous sheriff and I'm not hearing about much change under the new one.
There are bright spots here and there, on the DA's staff and in the Sheriff's office. But the tone from the top is not promising.

Could you elaborate. I am curious as to your take on this.
Thanks.

Re: Montco sheriff
There are several threads on PAFOA dealing with this issue, here's a link to a case that I successfully defended:

Re: Montco sheriff
Dropping my daughter off at kindergarten on my way to a shooting range lunch break sounds lawful to me, but I don't want to be the test case. Annoying.

And I overheard someone saying the earth was flat and the moon was made of cheese.
Believe none of what you hear (especially overhear) and only half of what you see.I don't speak English , I talk American!

Re: Montco sheriff
Said it before. I'll say it again.
I fucking hate having to deal w/ the people @ the Mont. Co. courthouse and "Special Services" desk...
Don't listen to a thing they have to offer in the way of legal advice (or even casual conversation, for that matter).
Just get your LTCF, GTFO, and be glad you don't have to deal w/ their arrogant, lazy asses for another several years...
That's my take, based on my experience.
Also, as stated, what they said about campus carry is pure bullshit.
Regards,
Bones
