Default Open carry at the NRA show

Spent Saturday and Sunday on the floor at the NRA show carrying as I normally do in the warmer times, out and in the open. Found it odd that some people were suprised (is that thing loaded?) and ran into one other fellow that was open carrying while at the FN booth, right after I ran into eXceLon and his wife.

Saw one other fellow carrying a glock of the compact variety IWB on my way in Saturday AM, and that was all of the firearms I saw being carried the whole weekend.

Overheard one comment on the way past Cory's restaurant (Yum!) from one person telling another that "Thats right, Open Carry is OK in PA", and a couple lamentations from exhibitors that they couldnt do the same in their home states.

All in all, a very nice couple of days.

I was there with my dad Saturday afternoon OCing and I only saw 1 other person carrying and I think he had something to do with one of the booths since he was carrying without a mag in his gun. I was surprised I didn't see anyone else. I was also surprised no one said anything to me about OCing; That can be a good thing though.

I was there Friday and lucky enough to be about the 5th person in when they were getting ready to "Cut the Ribbon", got to shake Wayne's hand, and again Saturday. I was surprised to see no one OC. In fact everyone was dressed for the weather, no coats, so even CC looked limited at best. I can't believe the majority was non-resident or many were just uninformed thinking any carry was banned.

I saw 1 OC'r on Saturday and a few people concealing poorly (including someone carrying without a holster in their back pocket).

I was discouraged to hear someone from fish and game (one of the booths out front) telling someone who asked about an OCr that if they were carrying OC that they must have a carry permit because it was required by law. I did not stop to correct them.
