So I went to the local PD in Hatboro, Montgomery County, prepared for the worst based on other members experiences. I filled out the check card at 345pm and handed it back to the guy behind the counter. He said we will call you when its ready. Now so far no fees were charged, but I assumed that "call you when its ready" was going to be a long drawn out process. I got back in the car and drove home, about five minutes. Before I walked in the door, the kids told me that the PD called and that my form was ready.

So much for having to wait weeks to get it back. I rushed back to the PD and got the card. He handed it over, and like a noob, I asked if there was any charge. He said no and have a nice day.

Went to Norristown today to get the LTCF. Walked in at 11:10 and was out by 11:20, despite the office being 12 guys deep waiting. Paid the $20 and was out. It took me longer to get to the courthouse and find parking then the entire process.

Thank god for a quick and painless procedure, aside from the check card step. Special thanks go out to the boys in blue from Hatboro PD. Quick easy and great to work with.
