    Default Huge gun Auction

No idea where to post this, so here it is.

A friend of mine found this and told me about it today. The auction is on 9/23, and it's in Hatfield, Pa. They have 500 guns of all types to sell.

Really wish I could go to this.

    3pm on a Wednesday?

And 4mi from where I work.

I think I'm feeling a sickness coming on and it's gonna hit me tomorrow afternoon.

You don't look so good. You are all green and stuff.

64Jeeper, thanks for the heads up. I'll try to make it.

Alderfer has a very nice setup there. I went to one in the Fall, predominantly because I had never been to a single auction in my life. My advice is to try to get there early enough to sign in, take part in the inspection and secure a seat. Be prepared to stay late, as I was there until around 9:00pm.

They have a nice, large auction hall and a clean, quaint snack bar/cafe. The snack bar sells Hatfield products, which makes perfect sense as the plant can be seen from the front door.

If I didn't have to work, I'd be there... if just to revisit the experience.

I see a lot of nice things listed there. There are at least two Springfield 1903s there that look promising, among other stuff. Too bad I have no spare cash right now.

I work in Ft. Washington, and I get out of work at 2pm...

I also happen to have a couple hundred bucks in cash in my wallet...

Anyone ever been to one of these before? How many people does it draw?

How does pricing generally fall compared to market value?

I imagine it all depends on who bids, but if I am looking for a deal on something for personal use, what are the chances of snagging a steal?

I hope that anyone who attends this auction posts an update afterward concerning how it went... what prices were things bringing, did you buy anything, how many were in attendance etc.
If I had off today, I'd be there, but alas, I can't attend.
