Re: RIA 45, Before/After
ooooh, bold move swapping the trigger. did you do any trigger work itself? or just swap to a skeletonized?
i had the mind to mess with mine but the factory trigger is already so sweet...

Re: RIA 45, Before/After
There really isn't much to the trigger of a 1911 that effects the dropping of the hammer.
Your finger pushes on the "trigger", of which has a steel band that then pushes the disconnector, the disconnector then pushes on the sear, the sear then slips out of the latch on the hammer. When a trigger job is done on a 1911, it is on the engagement of the sear and hammer, not the "trigger" of the gun. So long as the trigger and it's band slide smoothly through the receiver, your "trigger" should be the same. Your position might be different, but the actual engagement doesn't really change.

Nice work Xring. Thats basically what I did with my old Norinco 1911A1. It was a GI type model like something from WWII/Korea orginally, not anymore. I still have my low profile GI sights though.Last edited by knight0334; December 3rd, 2008 at 09:34 AM.

AWESOME! hows it shoot?
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: RIA 45, Before/After
How did you do the sights? Did it come with the standard GI sights and you changed it to those or did it come with the upgraded sights?
I was considering putting new sights on mine (gi sights) but after pricing it out and trying to decide how I wouldn't break them when carrying I scrapped the idea... I'll probably get a laser eventually if I have money laying around (haha yeah)The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. Thats nice, does that mag release get in the way/irritate your hand while shooting?
