where can i find? 9X18 pistol

im gonna be checking a show or two this weekend to see what i can find but im looking for a cheap makarov, p-64 or pa63 or something smiliar i would like to spend 150 or less if possible. im not to into the cz in that caliber but does anyone know of any shops around lehigh selling any of these its ok if they have finish wear i want to duracoat it anyway so i would hate to do it to a mint pistol any help would be nice thanks to all. id possibly buy a beat up one with dings and scratches if price is right too if that is any help. i just want it to function

Don't know of any shops but you could look at CDNN and see what they may have (it would require shipping to dealer though).

Good luck finding a Mak, Of all the 9x18 guns , the CZ 82 is the sweetest, too bad you dont want them.

Weaver's in broadheadsville has a few 9x18 guns, just call Phil before you go.

Of all of the 9 x 18s I do not think that you will find one around the $150 mark unless you are able to find a P64 (J&G do have them a bit more than that) and you will have to put a new mainspring in unless you really have a "death-defying hand clasp" as the DA is around 25lbs.

Of those easily available, I would recommend the CZ82; a beautiful piece of machinery, though spare mags (and do not buy aftermarket ones!!) are expensive.

If you really want the best 9 x 18, then if you can find one, the S&S east German Makarov with the Russian Military one a very close second. Do not buy the Baikal or Bulgarian versions as these are sold specifically for the civilian market and have bells and whistles you do not need.

I have all except the Russian military (still looking for the C&R ones) and they are built like tanks, and due to the fixed barrels, surprizingly accurate. Dave_n
