    All I can say is while tied up pier side at Gibraltar, we got into a friendly drinking contest with a few of them at the base pub. We were holding our own till one of us stupid jarheads mentioned how gay it was to have a queen, they handed us our asses and at the time we were world class drinkers. I think we were halfway across the Mediterranean before recovering from the hangover

    they train and fight like they drink !

    I trained with Royal Marines as a US Marine. I have a great deal of respect for them, and the Dutch Marines I trained with, also.

    And no, don't try to drink with either and keep pace.

    Dutch Marines are more fun to hang with. Royal Marines like to drink, then fight. Problem was, we got in trouble for fighting; they don't. Kindof a killjoy.

    Royal Marines are the UK's regular marines. The equivalent of Navy Seals is the SBS (Special Boat Service). Army special forces are SAS (Special Air Service).

    The USMC will evaluate what happened and adapt. UK military holds them and all other US military in high regard.
