Need Red dot suggestions for MINI 14

I'd like to get a red dot reflex sight for my Mini 14 W/ ATI tactical stock. Problem is, I, like I'm sure most of you, I live in PA. Can't hunt with a semi. So, with that being said. My Mini is a plinker. I know EOtech is probably the best, from what I've read. But i just can't see dropping that much coin on a sight for a plinker. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appriciated. I'd like to keep it cheap, but I don't want the thing to fall apart after a few rounds. Thanks again!

Minis are hard on scopes. You can do the buffer mod to help with some of the metal on metal slamming, but it will still kill weak optics pretty quickly. If you want to go inexpensive, the Primary Arms Micro Dot is pretty tough. I have one on my PS90. There's video of someone throwing his around the range and it works just fine afterwards. Not bad for a $90+ red dot.

The biggest challenge is going to be finding a compatible mount. There are picatinny adapters that fit the Ruger scope ring slots. You could also go the Ultimak route.

I have a Burris Speed Dot 135 on my Mini 14.No issues so far,but only a couple hundred rounds through it.I also picked up an Ultradot Four but have not used it yet.They have a good reputation,but I'll have to wait and see.
