I've borrowed the competitor's product (SmartCarry) from a friend to try out. For me, it's a choice that I wouldn't use frequently, but IMO, it has it's place. I just don't have enough use for it to justify spending the money yet.

I used a SmartCarry with a Glock 27 and it was very obvious and a bit uncomfortable. I've since sold the SmartCarry. Make sure you have a tiny gun or baggy pants, unless you don't care that people can tell you have a gun in your crotch! I'm sure it would work much better with a smaller, thinner handgun.

I've not seen one in person, but as I recall the SmartCarry inventor said on his site that he carries a full size 1911 in his all the time and is very comfortable

Of course, maybe he has a very small "package"

It does come in a couple different sizes...the SmartCarry that is

I have a smart carry holster and I highly recommend them for pocket rocket's under 9mm.

The idea would be for my job. I am a banquet server, and have to wear a dress shirt. My job frowns on weapons, and this seems like a decent choice.

I sometimes use a Smart Carry with my G26...no comfort problems at all. It takes some fidgeting to get it in the right position, and you have to wear properly sized pants, but once you get sorted out it's actually quite comfortable. Also, for those who are worried about blowing off their berries, you don't HAVE to wear a Smart Carry with the gun in front. You can place it anywhere around your waist that you wish.

It doesn't look like it would be very comfortable. But that is just my opinion. Might be something I would look into eventually though.
