    Question Need a Holster

I bought the WIF a Lady Smith and Wesson in 357. Then went and bought a Blackhawk Serpa for a J frame, I thought the Lady was a J Frame but it does not fit. So what holster do I need keep in mind the Wif does not like belts.
It will be her carry gun. Wisconsin is open carry Only for now.
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

It is a J-frame and the only issue with it not properly fitting a J-frame holster would be the barrel length and configuration. Instead of guessing, please post the model number of the gun - found under the crane on the frame of the gun. It will (should) be a 2 or 3-digit number followed by a hyphen and then another 1 or 2-digit number; i.e. 638-3

There was an engineering change that lengthened the cylinder so the J-frame could be used for guns chambered in .357 Mag, but modern holsters will accommodate both cylinder lengths.

What model # is it? I bought my wife a Lady Smith-Model 60. It is a J frame. If the LS is a Model 65, it is a K frame.

check the passive retention screw, it might be too tight and not allowing the revolver to slide down past the active retention catch.
