Does everybody see how useless that subject is? It doesn't tell you a damn thing, it doesn't help with the search feature and frankly isn't worth shit.

Can everybody learn to use a subject that actually has meaning and adds to the forum. What the hell?

I'm guessing that Mods wouldn't want a thread started to make a point about every rule that never really gets followed.


But, if you change the focus of this thread to why it's useful to have relevant thread titles/email subjects I'm with you.

I work with this moron lady at work that sends emails with subjects like :Hello, please respond, Today is Monday and I need an answer by tomorrow. New Client is Goodrich." Mine would be: "Goodrich - New Client, Urgent"

My email titles contain as much info and pertinent info as I can fit in the size that most peoples Outlook will show them. Same applies to Blackberrys and iPhones. I only can see the first 5 words, so make them count!!!

the only reason I clicked on this thread was i saw who the OP was.

my favotite is the half sentance title, followed by the rest of the sentance in the thread....... lol

I will admit I like to use a fun title now and again for something like gun pictures though. "Romulan Blaster" for when i had a Rommy G-kit AK, and such.

this is a perfectly good suggestion... but a pretty jackass way to suggest it, and the lounge forum is inappropriate place for it(moved here)

I would agree, thread titles like that annoy the crap out of me, unfortunately there's no way (I know of) top stop it short of deleting all threads with dumb titles which will then cause 800 more threads entitled "Where did my thread go?" and "Moderators are censoring me!!!!"
