a purely "want" gun
I'm going to have some money (not enough for full auto) but was wondering what you guys think of a "want" gun. I have plenty for carry, hunting, etc. but what is your gem if you could go buy it?

Re: a purely "want" gun
I have lots of "want guns". I really don't shoot much anymore, not hunt much - so my acquisitions are primarily for collection.

Re: a purely "want" gun
I'm sure we all have a lot of wants Practically? A PSL rifle. Something not likely: Sniper rifle in 338 Lapua, maybe a McMillan or a Dragunov. But I have no place to take 600m+ shots either, so sour grapes.

Re: a purely "want" gun
Saw my first KSG in the wild today. @ 1150 that's a "want" gun I guess. I couldn't pull the trigger though, knowing the msrp was around 600 when it was first introduced.

Re: a purely "want" gun
I'm working on my "want" guns right now, since I already got my AR and AK (the basic guns everyone should own, IMO).
I got my first, a KRISS Vector.
Still want a .454 Casull Raging Bull with the 8 3/4" barrel, a titanium gold plated .50AE Desert Eagle, a IWI Tavor, a FN SCAR in .308, a FN FS2000, a FN PS90, a FN Five-seveN, and a legit HK MP5 (I got a Walther-made HK-licensed .22LR MP5 SD). And maybe a HK SL8 that has the HK G36 conversion done to it (or convert it myself).Last edited by Solaran_X; August 10th, 2013 at 11:04 PM.

Re: a purely "want" gun
I've always liked the classic African safari rifles. Reading old Outdoor Life magazines and the like always had me dreaming of exotic far-away hunts.
So with that said and it's definitely the caliber and not the gun:
.375 H&H Magnum
and/or
.416 Rigby
And believe me they aren't for shooting regularly, if ever. Just to have 'em.
But hey, when will I ever get to Africa for a plains and dangerous game hunt? (NEVER)... but we can all dream. If gun control worked, Chicago would be like Mayberry, instead of Thunderdome.

A new in box 4" S&W 16-4 which I would immediately turn into a used S&W 16-4.
