G2 Research RIP .45 ammo

So I bought my Christmas present, a Glock 30sf gen 3...
While I was at my LGS I also picked up a box of RIP (radically invasive projectile) ammo..

I have done a little research on this ammo.. Mixed reviews..
The company's claims seem to be exaggerated..

Has anyone here used these??
FWIW I ran one mag, 10 rnds and no issues..

What does everyone think, gimmick or legit SD ammo ??

When police departments and the FBI start using it I'll consider it legit. Untill then its just sepperating you from your money.

Actually yes. I currently have 9 departments using my projectiles for training ammo.

Not that I would carry a coated lead bullet as SD ammo and neither do the LEO's.

Speer Gold Dots are still the standard when it comes to SD bullets.

That's a pretty good measure for sd ammo right there. I wouldn't screw around with sd ammo. Myself, I want something that I know has a track record of working. I'd say if you have the $$$ and want to play around with it at the range, then go for it. I wouldn't recommend carrying it.
